The Harp Project takes a Pause.

Stay tuned for new details.

We shall create beauty and spend time together, so we do not lose our freaking minds.

For 12 consecutive weeks, from Thanksgiving till spring, I played my harp at Helia Health, in a warm and inviting studio space in my friend’s building. It’s the perfect space for my resonant harp and vocals, and for people to gather. I learned so much from this experiment. I experienced reprieve from life’s difficulties, and provided an hour of peace, joy, and community each week for anyone who was interested in hanging out with me.

I truly looked forward to seeing who would show up, and was deeply touched by those who did – sometimes the same beautiful souls, week after week.

It was so satisfying on many levels. People need to come together in community – to appreciate art and music, to connect and unwind. In real time – without phones, computers or AI. It felt amazing.

I do not intend that this is the end of this experience. My experiment proved all my inclinations – that if I offered this space, people would come. And they did! There was never a Sunday evening I was alone for the hour, and each week brought someone new.

What’s next?

The trick is fine tuning it to work for me, the hosts of the space, and the community too. I’m definitely on to something, and I intend to bring the experience back for all of us to come together again – to enjoy inspiration, music, poetry, art, and friendship together.

Please stay tuned. Contact me with your ideas, your comments, and your inspiration.

What’s your project? What are you doing to bring peace and beauty to your family, your friends, your community, and to yourself? Especially in these days of constant bombardment of trouble and anxiety.

About The Baltimore Harp Project – Julia Martin Frazier, Harpist / Creator

Lately it seems that everywhere I turn, things feel difficult. Our communities, our nation and our world seem to be in a constant state of stress and friction.

I’m looking for respite. I’m searching for peace. I’m looking for beauty and inspiration. I know I’m not alone. These days, it can feel very overwhelming, to know how to make change, and share hope. I want to make a difference – for myself, my family, and all people around me who may be feeling the way I feel, but I’ve been a little lost in how best to go about doing it.

For the better part of 20 years or so, I made my living playing the harp. About 10 years ago, I turned my attention towards selling real estate.

While I love helping people design their lives by creating beautiful homes, my love for music has stayed with me and nurtured me throughout the years.

I believe I have something to share that I hope will help put people at ease, if only for a short time. I can share my harp, and create a space for us to gather – to unwind, share stories, hear music and poetry, and just come together to be reminded that there is beauty in our neighborhoods, our community, and in each other.

So come! Let’s share some time together. Feel free to bring a reading to share, or an inspiring reflection. Let’s find friendship, and levity. Let’s leave the ugly and difficult things outside, and find some sanctuary together.

I believe in peace and good will toward all. Meet me at Helia Health in Roland Park on Sundays from 4-5, and let’s see if we can change the world. If even for one hour.

I’m excited to see what we can do. If you’re wondering what it’s all about – just swing by.

Love Everyday!
